Membership Application

NCARP Charlotte has three classes of members: full members, associate members, and emeritus members.

Full Membership

Full Membership is open to all Registered Nurses holding a current North Carolina and/or South Carolina license and to Rehabilitation Counselors. Both must be either a CRP (Conditional Rehabilitation Professional) or a QRP (Qualified Rehabilitation Professional) as defined in the Rehab Rules of the North Carolina Industrial Commission in the field of rehabilitation.

Rehabilitation Professional is defined as those who are currently employed by:

  1. P and C (Property and Casualty) insurance company
  2. TPA (Third Party Administrator)
  3. SI (Self-Insured) company
  4. Private Rehabilitation Provider
  5. Provider Facility
  6. State Workers' Compensation Board
Associate Membership

Associate Membership is open to all Registered Nurses, Rehabilitation Professionals, Therapists, and Claims Professionals in related fields.

Emeritus Membership

Emeritus Membership is awarded to full members who have been active in NCARP for a period of 10 or more years. Nomination for Emeritus may be submitted to each chapter's Board of Directors for approval.

The criteria for Emeritus status is:

  • An active member for 10 or more years
  • A member in good standing with specific licensing/certification agency
  • Retired from the Rehabilitation Profession

Upon nomination and approval by the board of Directors of each chapter, nominees' names will be submitted to the full membership for voting. A majority of vote of full members present and voting shall govern.

When approved, Emeritus status will be awarded for a lifetime. Emeritus members may continue active membership in the organization and maintain full voting privileges. Dues will be waived.
